Dr. Brittany Lehman is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She received her Ph.D. in December 2015 from UNC Chapel Hill. Her first book, Teaching Migrant Children in West Germany and Europe, 1949–1992 was released in January 2019 with Palgrave's Studies in the History of Childhood. Her current research project focuses back on the 19th-century, looking at the developing concepts of the foreign “Other” across Bavaria, Hamburg, and Prussia.
